
Zain Nurani Psy.D. is a Clinical Psychologist and the Executive Director for Psympatico, PLLC.
Dr Nurani’s passion for promoting
mental well-being began during her undergraduate studies at the
University of Washington in Seattle, Washington where she graduated
with honors (Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa). She went on to complete
her Masters degree in Psychology and her Doctorate degree in Clinical
Psychology at The California School of Professional Psychology in San
Diego, CA. Some of Dr Nurani’s training and work experiences include
biofeedback techniques and protocols for individuals with various
anxiety disorders; hospital-based practice in GeroPsychology;
outpatient treatment for individuals, couples, families and groups; she
has been certified as a domestic violence counselor in California and
in Washington. Dr Nurani is a pioneer in the field of CyberPsychology;
because of Dr Nurani’s innovative dissertation research on online
behavior and Internet research, she received a nomination for a junior
fellowship with the Society of Fellows at Harvard University and has
served as a consultant on publications in Tele-Health. Dr Nurani also
works as a consultant on numerous community projects promoting mental
health awareness and mental health education.
